Addi's First Easter

Easter was a fun day for the whole family! It was awesome to be able to start buying for my own child on the holidays. (over $ 100.00's later at Target I think Loren isn't going to let me shop anymore). We all went over to my Aunt Julies and Addison got to meet her Aunts, Uncles and Cousins for the first time. They were loving her up at some point I felt like I didn't even have a baby since everyone kept holding her! It did give me a chance to drink a few glasses wine though. Oh and the day after Easter Loren gave me an engagement ring and we are now officially engaged! I have no idea what the wedding plans will be, I will let you all know.

Here are a few pictures of Addison. Everyday she is getting bigger. She is eating a lot more and she has just now started to stay awake and just be content looking around at everything!

The Life of Addison James

It finally happened! I had my sweet little angel on Monday March 16th at 11:09 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and is 20 inches long. I don't know how anyone has more then one because the labor and delivery was probably one of the worse things I have gone through. We were at the hospital at 6 in the morning because I was feeling a funny pain. Sure enough they were contractions but the nurse was going to send us home to do most of the laboring. Around 10 AM I was going to be allowed to leave but then my water broke and as the nurse said that guaranteed my admittance. I had a long hard gruesome labor and delivery (Ok I know I'm probably exageratting but man I'm a baby!!) All that matters is that she is here and I can't believe it. I wish I could do a better post then this but I have higher priorities now. I will post often with new pictures.

I had my regular scheduled doctors appointment on Tuesday and it was very informative. First she measured my belly and then looked for her heartbeat. It took her a little bit (Addi was moving around a lot) and when she found it she felt like the placement of the heartbeat was a little lower then it should be. Also she said my belly measured a little bigger then what it should be. So on March 3rd I have another ultrasound. This one will tell me the growth and position of the baby. I think with her heatbeat being lower it might mean she has already started to position her self to slide out of the birth canal. Which being as though I have 5 more weeks left its not that good of an idea for her to do that :) Maybe because my belly is measuring larger then it should I might end up being farther along then originally guessed.
I have no idea. Lots of things are going through my head. You should see the room..... nothing is ready, I haven't even had my family babyshower yet!! I hope she waits till Mommy can organize everything.

Friends Baby Shower

On Sunday Loren and I had our Co-Ed babyshower at the Corral Bar and Grill. It was a wonderful party and all my friends came out to celebrate. They had everything all set up with balloons, pink, white and red table clothes and yummy food that I couldn't get enough of. I received so many wonderful presents my friends are awesome!! I feel like I am so fortunate to have such wonderful friends! I still have my family babyshower coming up next month and man I better make some room because before I know it she will be taking over :) ......... Baby here we come!!

7 Months and growing

Here are a few pictures. I had a hard time taking them before because to me I didn't really look pregnant. But now as the ultrasound technician says I look like there is a baby in there! :)

Well, my pregnancy journey is slowly coming to an end. I can't believe that in less then 3 months I am going to be a mother to a beautiful little girl! AWWWW how scary :) Loren and I went this morning to go get another ultra sound because the technician did not get her heart as
well as she wanted to with the one a few months ago. The technician is so sweet as soon as we walked in she said she is going to take full advantage of doing a complete ultrasound and I will get new pictures. The first picture is her looking straight at you. The second is the side profile (I think she is gonna have a good size nose on her) The third picture is of her little foot which right now is 2 inches long. She currently weighs 2 lbs 10 oz and within the next 3 months she is going to gain approx 6 more lbs. It is amazing to me how it takes 7 months for them to weight almost 3 lbs but 3 months for them to gain 6 hehe.... Mommy on the other hand gained 5 lbs last month but we are not going to talk about that one.
In a few weeks I am going to go register for my baby shower and oh my god it is finally becoming reality for me. My sister gave me some clothes that she saved of Rachel's. One of them is the outfit she brought Rachel home in. My plan is to do the same with Addison. What a cute tradition that would be to start. Next I can pass it onto Amanda when she finally decides to have one.... Hint Hint... Also Lorens Aunt bought Addison her first outfit which is adorable with little duckies on it and the feets are just so small.
I should be doing the 3D ultra sound in a few weeks and get some even better pictures. Until then enjoy these ones of my little Addison James.
